Nyugaku Nenbutsu Gaku Ritual

This is a ritual to pray for peace and good harvests, said to have been carried out since the Edo Period over 200 years ago. Children wearing traditional the headdress of court nobles perform on gongs and taiko drums.

The ritual is held on May 3rd every year.

Yukuhashi City Nyugaku area (area around Gosha Hachiman Shrine)
